Jack P. Murphy, M.D., FAAD, is a board certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon. He is a Diplomat of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a Fellow of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. He has taught dermatologic and cosmetic surgery at both LSU and Tulane Medical Schools Dermatology Departments, and continues to actively train residents in cosmetic, surgical, and general dermatology.
Originally from Montgomery, AL, Dr. Murphy graduated from Tulane University and stayed in New Orleans for medical school at LSU. Upon graduating LSU, Dr. Murphy joined the United States' Navy and completed an internship and fellowship in Flight Surgery. After five years of active duty, Dr. Murphy returned to New Orleans and completed his residency at LSU medical school in dermatology serving Charity Hospital and the VA Hospital network.
Dr. Murphy has extensive experience in rejuvenation of aging skin with laser skin resurfacing, cosmetic laser surgery, laser treatment of blood vessels, and laser hair removal.
Dr. Murphy also specializes in the treatment of facial scars, skin cancer, sun-damaged and aging skin, spider veins (face and legs), eyelid surgery, facial and body hair.
Dr. Murphy has over 15 years of experience using botox (Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport) along with multiple fillers, including, Restylane, Restylane Lyft, Belotero, Sculptra, and Radiesse.
Dr. Murphy enjoys spending time with his wife, Jeanne, children, and dog named "Bama," traveling, and playing golf.
